Darlene L. (Kimmel) Seals Obituary
Darlene L. Seals, 95, of Fortville, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. She was born October 27, 1930, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Forest and Carrie (Zion) Kimmel.
Darlene was a 1948 graduate of Anderson High School and a 1952 graduate of St. John’s Hickey Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.
Darlene was a member of the Fortville Christian Church, Fortville Business and Professional Women, honorary retired member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and most importantly spending time with family.
Darlene was the former co-owner of Seals Funeral Home and a retired Registered Nurse who served as assistant night director at Community Hospital East for 25 years.
Darlene is survived by children Ronna Pannell of Noblesville, Renae Falksen of Dallas, TX, Randy (Marie) Seals of Louisville and Rick (Shelley) Seals of Noblesville, grandchildren Brittany Pannell, Tim Pannell, Jennifer (Jackson) Solomon, Amanda (Zachary) Case, Kelly (Jacob) Lusk and Chad (Leann) Falksen; several great-grandchildren, brother Doyle (Lynda) Kimmel as well as two nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her parents, listed above, sister Dorita Terry and son-in-law Steve Falksen.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Seals Funeral Home 122 W. Staat Street Fortville, IN 46040. A funeral to celebrate Darlene’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the funeral home with calling from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow the funeral service at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
