Obituary for Gloria Joyce Connelly
GREENFIELD – Gloria Joyce (Rousey) Connelly, age 77, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Community Hospital Anderson. She was born in Anderson on May 8, 1948, to Lewis and Beulah (Lawrence) Rousey. Gloria graduated from Anderson High School in 1966. She married James Connelly on November 19, 1966.
Gloria worked for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield as the IT Coordinator for thirty years. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and camping in her free time.
She is survived by her children, David (Cyndi) Connelly and Tina Zook; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Foster, Joshua Foster, Ashley (Brian) McFadden, Cassandra Zook, and James E. (Paige) Connelly, II; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Beulah Rousey; husband, James E. Connelly; brothers, Harry, Robert, Frank, Jim, and Stephen; and sisters, Lillie and Inez.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
