Phyllis Jane Baker,
88, of Indianapolis, passed away November 22, 2025. She was born November 12, 1937 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Clarence J. and Ollie L. (Campbell) Jackson. Phyllis married William Baker, Jr. November 30, 1957, and he preceded her in death March 7, 1994. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a longtime member of Lawrence Apostolic Church.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Lawrence Apostolic Church, 6202 Sunnyside Road, Indianapolis, IN 46236.
Phyllis is survived by her devoted daughters, Angela Lynn Hamm (Michael) and Kimberly Jane Apodaca; grandchildren, Kimberly L. Dionne (Rudy), Ricky David George III (Shayna), Morgan Skinner (Mitchel) and Damien Apodaca; great-grandchildren, Jolie, Emilie, Miley, Andre, Melanie, Magnus, Coraline, Remus, Arwen, and Luna; sister, Mary Hollingsworth (Jim); brothers, Harold Jackson (Linda) and Tom Jackson (Setsu); and sister-in-law, Clara Jackson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Jackson; and sister, Lyda Claxton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Lawrence Apostolic Church. Final care and arrangements are entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel.
