Obituary for Betty Valentine
Mrs. Valentine worked for United Telephone Company for many years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of Real Community Church in Ingalls, Indiana, and a former member of the Idlewood Golf Course. She loved spending time with her family and playing golf.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Gene; sons, Rick (Susan) Valentine of Anderson, and Bryan (Kelly) Valentine of Port Orange, Florida; daughter, Cynthia (Wilson) Conner of Fortville; grandchildren, Lisa (Joe) Shetterly, Derrick (Kimberly) Valentine, Tyler (Paige) Haley, Jason Valentine, and Megan (Mike) Hitt; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Hudson; and brother Denny (Debbie) Bland of Anderson. She was preceded in death by parents; brother Robert “Bobby” Bland; sister Nancy Dowden; and Brother-in-law, Frank Hudson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 11:00 am until Noon at the Gravel Lawn Cemetery Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Real Community Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available at the chapel. Friends may share a memory or condolence at www.erleweinmortuary.com.
