Clyde Pritt
Clyde Pritt, 84, of Lawrence, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his home. He was born December 17, 1932 in Beverly, West Virginia to the late David and Bertha (McCauly) Pritt. Clyde was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Fortville American Legion Post 391 , the International Order of Foresters, Sunnyside Road Baptist Church and had been a Scout Master for Troup 421 in Lawrence. He retired in 1995 from Kroger Grocery after 20 years’ service. He is survived by his wife Irmgard (Rau) Pritt whom he married October 4, 1958, sons: Walter Stephen Pritt, David M. Pritt and Michael A. Pritt; daughter: Christina M. Rabbitt; 5 grandchildren: David J. Pritt, Lance Pritt, Joshua S. Pritt, Gavin M. Pritt and Alexander J. Pritt; brother Charles Pritt; sisters: Lottie E. Haddix and Helen Castanier. Clyde was preceded in death by sister: Ellen Bowen and brothers: Gus J. Pritt, Leland L Pritt Alfred Pritt and twin Carl Pritt.
Funeral Information
Friends may call on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Clyde’s life will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
