Obituary
Joy Elizabeth "Libby" Head, age 89, of Elwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her daughter's residence in Fortville, IN. Libby was born on February 10, 1929, in Fair Oaks, AR the daughter of Kyle and Stella (Simmons) Bryant.
On March 19, 1944 she married the love of her life James W. Head who passed away on Nov. 15, 2005. Libby was a faithful member of the Central Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, fishing and hunting mushrooms. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Libby is survived by her three daughters; Sue Alden of Tipton, IN, Madonna (James) Cooper of Fortville, IN, and Robyn (Carl) Blair of Fortville, two sons; James "Sonny" (Debbie) Head, Jr. of Fortville and Kevin Head of Elwood, 15 grandchildren, 28 great grand, 6 great great grandchildren, sister; Betty (Jerry) Bruce of TX, several nieces & nephews.
Libby was preceded in death by her Father, Kyle Bryant, Mother, Stella Bryant, Husband, James W Head, Brother, Jack W Bryant.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 11 am - 1 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana.
Funeral service celebrating Libby's life will be at 1 pm Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, in Elwood with Revs. Ben Capshaw & Matthew Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Central Wesleyan Church.
