Obituary
Robert E. Dunham, 86, of Pendleton passed away on Wednesday January 20, 2021. He was born January 27, 1934 in Lapel, Indiana to the late Lester & Eloise (Givens) Dunham
Robert graduated from Lapel High School high school in 1954. He served in the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge. Robert married the love of his life Diana Masters on August 14, 1959 and enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Robert worked at different jobs but loved farming more than anything. He was said to be a “jack” of all trades and could do about anything. He loved mowing grass and would mow the neighbor’s grass and the roadway because he loved it so much. It was also said that if a tractor or a lawn mower were involved you could find Robert. But more than anything he enjoyed being with his precious family whom he loved dearly.
Robert is survived by his wife Diana; children Connie Etchison and Kevin Dunham: grandson Mathew (Melissa) Etchison and 2 great-grandchildren; Lucas and Aubrey Etchison: sisters Iris Parker and Betty (Wilbur) Eiler as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his son Daniel Dunham in 1997 and his parents, listed above.
A celebration of Robert’s life will take place on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville with Rob Rigsbee officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 11:00am until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
