Christine E. Knopp
of Avon passed away peacefully on September 8, 2021. She was 101 years old. Christine was born December 24, 1919 in Flemingsburg, KY, where she was raised as the oldest of ten children. A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she took great joy in spending time with her family, gardening, canning vegetables and and baking. Christine retired from Western Electric after 25 years, where she had been a telephone assembler. Always guided by her faith, she was also a member of Kingsway Christian Church. The legacy she leaves is the unconditional love for her family; she will be remembered as the kindest and gentlest of souls.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Knopp, parents Ernest and Della Earlywine, son Robert Knopp, siblings Richard Earlywine, Delbert Earlywine, Sam Earlywine, Edith Kerns, Lillian Davis, Millie Doyle and Norma Whitmill. Christine is survived by her son Larry Knopp; daughter-in-law Juanita Knopp; sisters Shirley Vice and Sue Lee; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville, IN, after private family services.Christine E. Knopp
